Pool Closings
The most critical aspect of pool maintenance is a proper pool Closing, to ensure that all equipment and underground lines are properly purged of water and shut down for the cold Winter months. Pooltek crews are trained to handle all aspects of pool closing for you, so everything will be properly Winterized.
BASIC CLOSING
Includes Backwashing filter, Rinsing DE and Cartridge filters with water, Lowering pool water below skimmer for solid covered pools or 18” below deck level for mesh covered pools, Draining all pool equipment of water, Blowing out and plugging all underground plumbing lines, Removing grab rails and ladders, Adding antifreeze to lines and skimmers, Adding Winter Algaecide, Stain & Scale Inhibitor, and Chlorine shock to water, Testing and Balancing water chemistry (ALL CHEMICALS EXTRA)
BASIC PLUS COVER
Includes BASIC Closing plus installation of Mesh Winter Cover (Solid covers with waterbags – Add $20)
GOLD CLOSING
Includes BASIC Opening; Cover Removal; and ½ hour of vacuuming with our external pump (additional ½ hours at $60 per half hour)
WINTER PROTECTION PACKAGE
Protect your pool over the Winter with our Full Winter Service, which includes four (4) service visits monthly over the Winter to make sure the cover is properly attached, chemistry is properly balanced, pool equipment is undisturbed, and the water level remains below the tile line. A Winter Chemical Booster of Algaecide and Chlorine is also added at the final visit to help minimize algae growth in the early-Spring.

*The pricing given is based on pools up to 35,000 gallons and does not include chemical costs, which are a variable based on the size of pool, number of skimmers, and water condition at the time of Closing.
